UPDATE: As of July 1st, Safety Plans are no longer required, and most public health orders have been replaced by new guidelines around health and safety provided by WorkSafeBC.
The shift to Communicable Disease Prevention provides much more flexibility in the way businesses can operate but could also increase the potential that customers and employees may have challenges as they see or perceive organizations moving at different paces to unwind measures that had been previously required. Click here for more information around Step 3 from the provincial government.
Looking forward, Step 4 is expected to begin no sooner than Sept. 7, predicated on meeting vaccination targets and maintaining low case counts. This step includes increased capacity at large organized gatherings, fully reopened workplaces, and the removal of restrictions on personal gatherings and social contact.
Given the rapidly changing landscape regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), you or your staff may be feeling stressed and anxious about the uncertainty of the current situation globally, and now locally. None of this is a reality any of us has ever faced, which makes this situation that much more unnerving.
It is very important to stay positive and to take care of each other and our mental health right now. It is also crucial that everyone understands and follows the protocols and guidelines of the competent authorities at all times, scaling up measures according to the risk level.
